Choosing the right grinder for espresso

I’ve been getting into espresso brewing at home, and I’m struggling to find a grinder that really brings out the flavors… I’ve heard that the grind size is crucial, but I’m not sure whether to invest in a flat burr or conical burr grinder. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be super helpful, especially if you’ve noticed a difference in taste.

I totally get the struggle with grind size! I switched to a conical burr grinder last year and noticed a huge difference in flavor clarity, especially when dialing in my espresso. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve as you fine-tune it; it took me a few tries to get that perfect shot.

I switched to a flat burr grinder and it really improved the consistency for me. Just remember, the grind size can definitely change depending on your beans. Have you tried adjusting the grind setting for different roasts?
